The World in 2050 is a series of Global Forums and Virtual Think Tank hosted by Diplomatic Courier, in collaboration with hundreds of private and public sector partners from around the world. The series convenes four to five times a year to stimulate discussion and solutions for the future. How will major global forces such as demographic changes, resource stress, technology, and economic power shifts change our future? Join global publics and thought leaders from 180 countries on a journey of strategic forecasting.
By the Numbers
Since 2012, the World in 2050 has accumulated a loyal global following of participants from 180 countries. It has generated much attention online: over 300 million social media impressions and over 6,000 attendees from c-suite, public policy, diplomatic corps, global media, civil society, and academia.
Since 2012, The World in 2050 has successfully convened numerous conferences and meetings spurring global interest and discussion in key issues for our future. In 2017, The World in 2050 established a virtual think tank that hosts research, live discussions, competitions, and more. The Summits become points of networking and reunion amongst our growing global membership while they engage in collaborative activities throughout the year.
Building a leadership movement for the future. The World in 2050 is dedicated to building a growing leadership movement and network to co-create and to build uncommon collaborations. To build this network and shared understanding, we convene around the following events:
Global Summits are dynamic, agile, and innovative forums for today’s global leaders concerned with our humanity’s future. The events are the anchor convening of The World in 2050 think tank and are hosted four to five times a year in key cities around the world. The Summits convene top senior level decision makers from the corporate, government, academic, media and NGO communities.
Global Fellows. The Global Fellows Program enables outstanding students and young professionals to participate in a life-changing educational leadership experience. Fellows are top undergraduate and graduate students from universities and partner organization networks around the world who are selected by their institutions to attend The World in 2050 events. At the summits, Fellows learn and practice 21st Century skills that prepare them to address critical issues. Fellows write research summaries that are turned into reports and other literature.
Co-Creating. The World in 2050 actively seeks partnerships and alliances to promote collaboration and alignment among existing initiatives in the areas we focus on our Global Summits. Through our “Co-Create” program—an online and mobile Platform/App we are building in 2017—we aim to support self-organizing work groups and online tools to further collaborations among Fellows, universities, entrepreneurs, investors, and other leaders.
